Movement Detection - Tasker Plug-In
Trigger tasks within Tasker based on movement (running, walking, or driving)
Movement Detection is an add-on app for Tasker or Locale, which lets you detect various types of motion, such as driving in a car, riding a bicycle, or walking - or when NOT doing any one of those things. You can make sure that your "Work" settings arent triggered until you have stopped driving, or enable Bluetooth & disable Wi-Fi while you are riding in a car.Please note: this is a plug-in. You MUST have either Locale or Tasker installed for this to work. It is built as a plug-in for either of these, and will never function on its own. If you dont understand what Locale or Tasker are, then please do not install this plug-in. Please do not accuse me of scamming or misleading; Ive made this as clear as I know how.Detected movements: in a moving vehicle, on a bicycle, walking/running, and standing still (i.e., not doing any of those other movements).Tasker Users: To use: go to Profiles, and add a "State" condition. Within the pop-up that appears, you will see a button labeled "Plugin." Tap that, and you will see "Movement Detection."Technical Note: If the Location Mode is set to "Device Only", Movement Detection will not work. "High Accuracy" and "Battery Saving", however, will work fine.This is a complete re-write of the plug-in. Its mostly behind-the-scenes changes, which should improve my ability to add new features and fix issues as they arise.What changes will you notice? - New, cleaner look - Material Design - Minor Fixes - Fix for crash on start-up for Jelly Bean users - Removed a few permissions I dont need - Even more minor fixes

Doesn't work properly when cycling regardless of confidence level. Tested on Android 10. Developer has ditched app support and doesn't reply to emails anymore.
Great little plugin. Easily detects driving to enable my Bluetooth. Definitely worth the money
Works flawlessly. Use it with Bluetooth Detection to automatically turn on bluetooth when driving and turn it off again when leaving the car. To avoid too much battery drain I recommend setting the confidence to "high".
I have been trying different options to automate my phone, specifically to turn Bluetooth on when I get in my car (as I keep forgetting to manually set it). Originally I used tasker to automatically enable Bluetooth at specific times (heading to work, leaving work etc) but this did not account for any other journies. I looked into NFC but it proved too cumbersome and I kept forgetting to tap anyway. This plugin works flawlessly with tasker and turns Bluetooth on and off when it should. Thank you!

I had trouble updating to the full version after trying out the trial version for a while. I emailed the dev and he responded very quickly! He gave me some tips, I still couldn't get it to work (lack of know-how on my end), so I emailed him again and he answered and told me exactly how to do it. Now it works flawlessly!! Thank you for the awesome customevr support! And yes, the plugin works like a charm! :-)
Nice, but sometimes it won't work. My GPS is already calibrated. Maybe I should try out the lower confidence!
I use this plugin to control Tasker profiles to log my location periodically, but only when there's a good chance that it has changed (i.e. moving). I've found the plugin to be very reliable and easy to use. Worth paying for. Nice work dev.
How does the %movement VAR work? Is it a boolean flag? I can't exactly test it out while driving. edit - Thanks! And is it set to null when no movement is detected? or is the variable uninitialized?
Glad to have a plugin that does the job Locale's built-in does, but does so very poorly. This has much better customization and accuracy. A+
